Polkadot.Js
Polkadot.Js is a suite of tools that allows Substrate-based networks to interact granularly with the Polkadot blockchain. One of the main components of Polkadot.Js is the Polkadot.Js Apps , which includes libraries that facilitate interaction with Substrate-based networks via WebSocket endpoints.
How to use Polkadot.Js Apps to Interact with Analog Network
Analog is a Substrate-based network, which means it can be used with any Substrate-based network block explorer. Polkadot.Js Apps can be used to explore and interact with either the Analog Testnet or Analog Main-net (also called Analog Timechain).
Note that when you launch Polkadot.Js Apps for the first time, you may or may not be connected to your desired network (i.e., Analog Testnet or Analog Timechain). For more details about these networks, check out Network Information. See below for steps you'll need to follow to connect to Analog Testnet or Analog Timechain.
Analog Testnet
Follow these steps to connect to Analog Testnet:
- Launch your browser and point it to this URL: https://polkadot.js.org/apps/ .
- Navigate to the top left corner of the page and click on the logo. You should see a list of networks organized by main-nets, testnets, and local networks.
- Locate the “Testnets” category and select “Analog Testnet.”

- Once you’ve selected “Analog Testnet,” scroll back to the top and click the “Switch” button. From now on, you should be able to connect to Analog Testnet whenever you launch Polkadot.Js Apps .

Analog Timechain
Follow these steps to connect to Analog Timechain:
- Launch your browser and point it to this URL: https://polkadot.js.org/apps/ .
- Navigate to the top left corner of the page and click on the logo. You should see a list of networks organized by mainnets, testnets, and local networks.
- Locate the “Live Networks” category and select “Analog Timechain.”

- Once you’ve selected “Analog Timechain,” scroll back to the top and click the “Switch” button. From now on, you should be able to connect to Analog Testnet whenever you launch Polkadot.Js Apps .
